I think there is a word missing within the two sentences that begin the discussion on Ps. 99:
QUOTE: Here we have the last of the series of Second Advent psalms, which began with Ps. 93. The first of them, the fifth, and the last, commence in the same way—with the watchword, “The Lord reigneth.” UNQUOTE
The Pulpit Commentary: Psalms Vol. II ( ed. H. D. M. Spence-Jones;Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2004), 344.
I think this because of the phrase, "the fifth," in the second sentence. That "fifth" is linked to Psalm 5. To me, it either doesn't make sense or I am missing a point.
Does anyone have the print edition to either help me figure out a correction or confirmation that this is the actual authorial intent?
thanX!!
