I was just thinking that this would be a great way to overcome all the limitations of the built in Notes function.
Perhaps just a button that will paste the currently highlighted text in Word (along with formatting) to the current cursor position.

Uh, what about CTRL-C / CTRL-V?
Doable, but I was looking for something to give the feel of tighter integration with Word.
I wholeheartedly agree - other programs have this. The even have buttons or icons that you can put on Word's toolbar so that as you are writing, say, Romans 2:1-11, you can hit that button, and the program (like Logos) puts the text there with one-click, rather than going into Logos, and then cutting, and going back to Word to paste it in.
Isn't that what smart tags do?
