On my iPad both the red letter text selection and the swipe to highlight consistently malfunction. Red letter is chosen as “on,” but the Bible text will not display red letter until I toggle the setting off and on. Similarly, I leave swipe to highlight “off,” but it remains “on,” adding highlights wherever I happen to inadvertently drag a finger. If I turn it on, or toggle the setting, it makes no difference.
A recent upgrade also changed another behavior: previously, it was normal to touch a page anywhere that was not otherwise highlighted, in order to scroll up or down, even if there is a highlighted passage, as long you don’t touch the highlight. Now the app goes into highlight mode if I touch the page somewhere else, but on the same horizontal line, even in a unhighlighted area.
