I rarely use Logos topics or preaching themes as they often merge different concepts or narrow/broaden the topics I wish to consider. Here is an example:
It appears that if I wish to consider the Nativity, I must use the much broader topic of incarnation. If I chose the Jesus' Incarnation theological theme, it is narrowly defined as Jesus' humanity … i.e. a specific aspect of the incarnation. I grit my teeth and select the theological topic. The Library tab provides results in all sections - appropriate for the topic selected. Then I try the Discover tab:
A full lens for a single recommendation - one very unlikely to be of high interest to a Verbum user. My reaction is a very negative "Logos thought this was the best use of their resources????!!!!!" I fail to see ANY incremental value either in my Bible Study or in my ability to find useful resources. At the very least, this should not have been released until there was sufficient data to make it apparent why you thought it would be helpful.
