Dear Logos Bible Software Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report a difficulty I am experiencing with the search functionality in your software, specifically when attempting to navigate directly to specific passages within the Bible texts and commentaries.
Previously, when I typed references such as "Jn 20" or "John 20" into the Search field while reading versions like the NET or ESV, the software would take me directly to the Gospel of John, chapter 20. This feature was incredibly convenient and facilitated a smoother study experience.
However, I have noticed a change in how the search function behaves. Now, entering these references results in a search for these terms across various texts, rather than directing me to the specific passage. This new behavior is less convenient and somewhat disruptive to my workflow.
Could you please look into this issue? If this is a result of a recent update, I would appreciate an option to revert to the previous direct navigation method, or perhaps you could consider adding a setting that allows users to choose their preferred search behavior.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and am hopeful for a resolution that will enhance the functionality and user experience of your esteemed software.
