Just encountered a surprising and demoralizing systematically-imbued typo issue in Cassuto's Exodus commentary…in the Hebrew.
The following paragraph has a discussion of the use of the Hebrew word `aasaah, which means "to do/make/work". The first pic below shows the word as a lexeme per DBLH. The entry shows the three-letter word spelled `ayin - siyn - hei' (R-to-L). The `ayin is marked with blue.
The next pic is the paragraph in question from Cassuto which is discussing chapter 5.
Five exemplars of the lexeme's use are presented (with various affixes attached per Hebrew usage). The first two (with blue) show the `ayin as expected. The last three (with green) have a tsei'rei' in place of the `ayin. This is a result of bad OCR actuation because the letters have a quasi-similar appearance.
For the sake of confirming my assessment, this is the first green-marked word above as shown in LHI. Notice that the correct spelling includes the blue-marked `ayin.
Unfortunately, this issue is not contained to this one paragraph. This is the following paragraph in Cassuto.
The two green marked letters above are also supposed to be `ayins. This indicates that this issue is a problem throughout this entire resource. Please address and fix this.
