why does Logos sometimes open a new window for notes when you have one already open

why does Logos sometimes open a new window for notes when you have one already open? This is frustrating because I have a bible open I am working in and notes the the second column, but sometimes it still opens a new tab for notes in the same column with the Bible, so it moves away from the Bible. 'when I click on a note icon, I want it to open in the Notes window already open. I don't want another NOTES window opened

I think this depends on whether the note you are opening is in the same notebook as the one you already have open in the Notes Tool.

Does that explain what you are seeing?

My experience is that if the open notes tab is filtered (something other than "All"), clicking on a note in another open resource will open a second notes tab. Removing the filter in the first notes tab will send links to that tab.
