How to access SDA theological resources

Dear Folk,

When I go to the Biblical or Systematic Theologies sections of the Passage guide, I can not find SDA theological resources.

Are there any SDA theological resources?

If so, what are they, and will they then show up in the guide sections under SDA?

If I tag a resource as theology-systematic, and I set the passage guide systematic theology section to mytag:theology-systematic, it does not show up when I'm running the guide for John 1. Is that because that resource does not contain any info on John 1?

This page has a section that lists some SDA theological books:

I'd check to see if any of those are already in your library or not, or if not add one of the libraries that has access to those to your library.

There are also SDA legacy libraries:

https://www.logos.com/legacy-libraries

I'd browse through them and see which ones mention Theology books and see if you already own them or not.

That's going to be the most straightforward way to know what common SDA theology books you own and don't own and an affordable way to add them to your library if you don't.

For it to show up in that section, it needs to have a type of Systematic Theology. You can see the types of books in the Library, and filter to just show books of that type in the faceted browser on the left.

Only of they have been tagged by the Logos team to appear there. There is only one in my library that appears in the Systematic Theology section of the Passage Guide when looking at John 1

Dear Folk,

When I found some of the SDA theological resources Dr. Parker mentioned in my library, I prioritized them. When I did a passage guide for some texts I looked up in those resources, the theology sections in the guide did not bring them up.

Though they are listed in the libraries as theological resources, they do NOT seem to be tagged by Logos as such. Therefore, I still do not know how to find SDA theological resources in my library that will be seen by Logos as such. I want to be able to do a passage guide, and look under Biblical and Systematic Theology sections to see theological comments from SDA AND Bap., and Reformed, etc. to compare… That's my goal.

The theology guides do not list any SDA section for the resources. They have Baptist, non-demon., reformed, etc., but they seem to NOT recognize SDA as a valid category for denominational theologies. Is that correct?

I asked in another thread if Gulley's or Peckham's works on theology were tagged by Logos as such or not, but haven't received any answers. How do I tell if an SDA theological resource is indeed tagged by Logos as such. Are there any tagged as such?

More suggestions or explanations, Please….

As per my screenshot above, Adventist does show as a category assuming you have appropriately tagged resources.

How do I tell if an SDA theological resource is indeed tagged by Logos as such.

I'm afraid that we, as users, have no way of determining this

Dear Folk,

I looked at my library under types: Biblical Theologies and Systematic Theologies. I show NO Adventist resources.

Even though I have some SDA libraries resources labeled in the sale pages as theologies, they are NOT so typed by Logos. Therefore, I guess there is no way to use these resources as theological resources?

Also, I guess there is no way to tell if a particular SDA resource I might want to purchase is typed as a biblical or systematic theological resource? I suspect even a Logos library expert would not know that.

More thoughts?

The following links are to Adventist systematic theologies. They are not included in any of the base packages. In one of Graham’s screenshots, they apparently show up as systematic theologies.

Correct, I don't have either resource but in Graham's post above, the title "God as a Trinity" appeared under the systematic theologies section. It is in the 3 volume bundle.

When viewing the product pages on newer books, the information is included. Old products don't have that information on their pages. For example, Gulley's fourth volume is a newer production by logos. It contains the info but the older three volume set does not.

I have 783 Adventist resources in my library from buying packages, and none of them are treated as systematic theologies by Logos. It looks like Gulley's is the only one.

I don't have any suggestions since I don't use the books in that way. I simply have my adventist books tagged as "Adventist" and have built a collection of them from that tag.

That's always been a mystery at FL:

They spend tons of money to tag books, along with indices
They spend tons of money building app-code to use the tagging and indices.
And building web-code to info the potential customer ($$!) is straight forward (as already, previews)
But they don't. And won't. Decades.
