Hello everyone,
I’ve just learned about the closure of the French branch of Logos, and I must admit I’m both surprised and concerned.
Surprised, because the work done over the past few years to make the Bible and theological resources accessible in French was truly remarkable. Many of us francophone users finally felt that Logos was becoming a tool genuinely suited to our needs — with a localized interface, high-quality French resources, and helpful customer support.
And concerned, because I’m wondering what this means for the future of Logos for non-English-speaking users. Does this mean development in French is stopping? That no new French resources will be added? That French-language support will disappear?
I sincerely hope that Logos is not abandoning this part of the Christian world. The French-speaking community represents a vast field of biblical, theological, and missionary study, and it would be a real shame for this momentum to come to an end.
If anyone has more precise information about the reasons for this closure or about Logos’s future strategy for francophone users, I would really appreciate hearing from you here.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this situation.
Warm regards,
Grégoire
