The toggle for Add parallel text on the Dynamic Toolbar does not work in the same way as all the other toggles on the toolbar. It only toggles on and off when you click within the small oval. For other toggle menus, clicking anywhere in the header will toggle the feature - you don't need to get your cursor on the exact spot of the toggle.
