Beta 6 Indexing

I installed Beta 6 over Beta 5 on my Desktop. My laptop had Beta4 on it and I updated to Beta 6. This went throughout a full reindexing which I expected.

When I opened 4.0 on the desktop to perform a search it indicated that it needed to index. I told it to go ahead, and it is now performing a full index (1919) resources. My understanding was that only the new resources would need to be indexed.

What caused Beta 6 to perform a full index? The laptop is running Beta 6 as I type but the search dialog box is not showing any need to index.

Mission: To serve God as He desires.

Basically, the indexer had finished. The notice you saw was supposed to let you know that the index was not fully optimized. Instead, a poorly worded notice led many to believe the new resources were not indexed at all.

You can right click on the indexer and it will index in the background. This will make indexing take longer, but give you less lag on your computer while it does so.
