Anchors in notes are now tied to just one Bible translation

It used to be that when I wrote a note based on a Bible text, the anchor symbol would appear in ALL Bible translations. The result was that, if I'm reading a Bible passage years later, the anchor symbol would remind me that I have made a note about that passage.

Now, the anchor symbol appears ONLY in the Bible translation I happened to be reading at the time. Years later, I might be reading that passage again, but I would be aware of my note only if I happened to be reading the same translation as when I wrote the note.

This should depend on whether you are linking the note to a verse(s) or a portion of text.

For a long time, those tied to verses have shown across translations while those linked to a portion of text do not (unless using the Corresponding feature).

Would this explain what you are seeing?

I thought it had to do more with visual filters? (or whatever they are called now). As I am looking at note anchor icons in multiple translations, I am seeing them in all of them. It's under "Notes" on the new toolbar.

I can pinpoint the exact date this began happening: September 2, 2025.

I don't know if this coincided with the new process of creating notes. The old process was to select Bible text, right click, and choose "Note" from the 2 column list of options. The new process is to select Bible text, the click on "New note" - "New note on selected text."

The only thing I've ever done is select one or more verses of text. When you say "linking the note to a verse(s)", I interpret that to mean a reference, such as "Mark 8:1-3." I've never used such a way of creating notes, and don't even know how one would do that.

It's actually not in the Note tab, but within the toolbar of your Bible. Sorry for not being clearer with that. Here's a wider screenshot.

I don't understand your reference to a new process of creating notes. The method you refer to as the old process still works as it has for a long time. Do you no longer see this as an option?

It's to do with what you select in the context menu.

In the screenshot below, if I select selection on the left of the context menu and create a note, it will be tied to a portion of text and specific to the Bible I am creating it in.

But if I select reference on the left of the context menu and create a note, it will be linked to the verse and be visible in all versified resources.
