Hi all,
I’m using the Logos Mobile app on iOS and reading Bruce Waltke’s NICOT volume on Proverbs. In the footnotes he often cites other resources, for example:
- TLOT 2.926
- TDOT 5.462
- Kidner, Proverbs, p. 153 (TOTC)
I’m not asking how to jump straight via hyperlinks. (That works for the hyperlinked citations, however there are quite a few citations not hyperlinked.) What I want to know is:
Once I’ve opened TDOT / TLOT / Kidner’s Proverbs on iOS, how do I manually navigate to those specific locations (e.g., volume 2, page 926 in TLOT; volume 5, page 462 in TDOT; page 153 in Kidner)?
What I’ve tried / what I’m seeing:
- I can open TDOT, TLOT, and Kidner’s Proverbs from my Library just fine.
- However, it’s not obvious how to go to “TLOT 2.926” or “TDOT 5.462” once I’m inside those resources on mobile.
- Typing things like 2.926, 926, or p. 926 in the search box doesn’t take me to that page.
- Likewise, entering 153 for Kidner doesn’t simply jump me to page 153.
My questions:
- On the iOS app, is there a way to go to a specific volume + page in TDOT/TLOT/Kidner (like “TLOT 2.926” or “Kidner, Proverbs, p. 153”) once the resource is open?
- If so, what’s the exact workflow on mobile? (e.g., using the reference box, a special reference format, table of contents, etc.)
- If this isn’t possible on mobile, is that a known limitation compared to the desktop app?
I’d really appreciate a step-by-step explanation if someone has this working. Thanks!
David
