John 14:6 Jesus says no man cometh to the father, but by me. What does that mean? When we pray… should we open our prayer in the name of Jesus?
A similar question was raised when I was in Bible College, and the professor replied, "Don't worry so much about form; there is no jealousy in the God head."
Jesus taught us. how to pray with the "Our Father Prayer" as an example. I usually end my prayer in Jesus name, especially if I am repelling demons.
However, if we look at the spiritual meaning of John 14:6, Jesus is talking about the New Covenant and the people are no longer cursed by The Law/ or the Old Covenant which none of them could obey; but they are now saved by grace because of his sacrifice for our sin if we believe. Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice for our sin, no man lambs or bulls to be slaughtered in the Temple for out sin.
