Warren, this is still a datatype reference of type bibleNKJV - basically you told Logos to use the NKJV verse map to identify which verse you understand to be verse 4. You would need to use a resource reference instead. Like the example from the wiki:
[[John 1:1 >> logosres:esv;ref=BibleESV.Jn1.1]]
