"Links to open panels" - strange behaviour

I was looking at the word "Counsellor" in John 14:16 (NIV) and wanted to see what a couple of lexicons said about the word.

So I clicked on the lemma associated with it and opened BDAG and the "Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament" and they both opened at the appropriate entries.

I had "links to open panels" set on all the resources.

When the NIV Bible showed John 14:16 in the navigation box at the top of the pane, this reference was correctly highlighted in the lexicons.

If I scrolled up in the NIV to John 14:15 then the highlighting disappeared even though John 14:16 was (obviously) still visible in the panel.

The same behaviour takes place if I use the ESV instead of the NIV.

Yes!

• a verse can assume the focus by clicking on it from anywhere in the (bible's) page
• the lexicon will highlight links to multiple open panels wherever they appear eg. a bible open to the book of Luke will highlight all references to Luke in the lexicon; you may have to scroll to see them!
