clicking on Logos icon

I have an icon on my desktop but it doesn't seem to be working. I have clicked on it, double clicked on it and nothing happens, The blue Logos thing shows for a second or two then nothing. What should I do? It usually takes a while to load but this time nothing is telling me that it's loading. Should I double click again and just wait?

Please provide a screen shot or describe the icon … the answer is very different depending upon what it is. Or on hover does it give you its name? That would work as well.

It's on my Lenovo laptop and is a blue square with a white circle with a white cross inside the circle. There is also a tick in the bottom left corner.

That's really helpful - so this is a shortcut on the desktop to the Logos program.

Try using the combination Alt-Q to bring up a search panel in the taskbar and enter the word Logos there. You should see an icon for the Logos app there. Click that and see if the app opens.

If it does, there is a problem with the shortcut and it will need to be replaced.

If it doesn't, there is a problem opening the app itself and the next step would to be try repairing it

Thanks, Graham. I tried what you said but the icon never came up, only words using 'logos'. So I am guessing it must be a problem with the shortcut. I will ring the college I purchased the program from and ask them for help. I wondered if it stopped because I was only at that college for 2024. Now I am at a different college.

It sounds like you don't have Logos installed on your laptop. Maybe your previous college removed it when you left?
