Personal Books on other Computers

Greetings,

I have about 3 different Pc's that I have Logos installed on.

All are the samme versions:

Windows 11, Logos Logos Bible Study 47.0
47.0.332 Premium plan.

I have been building my Personal Book library on the main pc that I use.

The question is, do I have to rebuild this same personal book library on the other PC's or will it just sync automatically when I open Logos on another pc?

The metadata for Personal Books (title, author, etc) will always sync and so it will appear as an entry in your Library

There is an Upload option (you'll see it for each book in the Personal Book tool) which you can use to upload the content of the book to Logos servers and this can then be downloaded to your other computers. Otherwise they would need to be rebuilt manually on each computer you wanted them on.

Please note that once you have uploaded they cannot be removed from the library.

@jeff johnson What Graham mentioned is not the only option. If you are capable of doing this - you can take the compiled versions of the files (personal books have extension lbspbb) from your resources folder, put a copy of them somewhere, where your other computers can access them, and then use the Logos “Scan” command on that folder, they will be properly built.

Between this and the metadata being synced as Graham stated, everything needed to be able to use the personal books will be available on your computers. I haven’t recompiled a personal book in many years, and I have over 300 of them. This is much quicker and simpler than compiling personal books one by one, unless you have very few of them.
