Old editions and new editions

I've noticed that I am offered older editions of books when I have already purchased the newer editions (e.g., in the Word Biblical Commentary series). This is really annoying, and potentially expensive if I don't do the homework.

Please find a way to weed out these older editions when offering books to me on your website.

I think it’s important that the earlier versions are available - and shown to be available - as people may want to consult those earlier works for a range of reasons.

Would a flag indicating that you already have a later version provide what you are looking for?

(I have no idea if Logos would consider doing this)

I've bought newer versions of commentaries when I didn't realize I already had the earlier one. I try to check my library first, but don't always remember. My fault, but it would be nice if Logos had a way to let me know I already owned a different version.

@Bob Venem @Ronald Quick you could try to catch this beforehand, but since actual occurrences will be infrequent - when a new commentary downloads to your library, just sort by title, filter by author or series - whatever works - and see if you have a duplicate. You have a window of time to return a resource; since an older/duplicate won't happen a lot, this is probably a quicker/easier way to handle it in the long run
