Lutheran Study Bible error

The Lutheran Study Bible is a commentary that is available on the iPad app.  However, there is a problem navigating this resource.  When clicking on "contents", it doesn't show all the entries.  As you would use "verse" with a Bible and navigate to a specific verse, the "contents" function should work the same way.  But it doesn't.  Here are a few issues:

1.  It's terrible to navigate to a specific passage as the table of contents is written a bit weird.  Instead of just dividing into Old and New testaments, those are further divided into additoinal areas that seem cumbersome.  Eliminate the extra headings and just leave the book listing under Old and New Testaments.

2.  The contents won't get you to ever passage in the BIble.  Try going to Relation chapter 6.  Impossible.  The list stops at chapter 5.  However, the content is present in the resource.

Thanks for keeping this software so well up to date.  It's ll well appreciated.

    Scott-

Just to be sure we are on the same page-

The Lutheran Study Bible (LSB) is an add-in to the ESV, so it does not include the actual Bible part.  It basically comprises all of the narrative comments, maps, charts, etc.

So what I did, was to open a window in L4 with the ESV.  Then go to your resources and also open LSB.  With the two windows open, you need to link the two, so that when you move your Bible to another verse, the LSB moves in tandem.

Keep in mind, that sometimes LSB does not have any comments offered on a given verse.  Also sometimes, there is a reference to another verse elsewhere, than just recopying it.

As far as I am concerned, it is a great resource.  I have mine always open, as well as the ESV.  There are Lutheran commentaries, which you can also purchase through Logos and they can be linked up, as well.  Here's one, which covers New Testament only. http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=lenski

There are also some Concordia Commentaries, but they do not cover all the Bible, but are really quality resources.

The People's Bible Commentary series is available here, too.  They are lower cost and there is less info.  They were originally published by Northwestern and now are part of Concordia Publishing House.

Dan, it works fine in L4.  It doesn't on the iPad.  My complaint is how it works on the iPad at the Table of Contents is a real limitatoin with how it was implemented on the iPad vesion of Logos.

Latest version of the iPad software addressed this problem.  It's working great now. Thanks Logos!
