Why is the NASB only available with the online version? My desktop version doesn't have it. Is this something I have to purchase for the desktop?

Yes, you'll have to pay for it. By way of special agreements with some publishers, Logos is able to make a number of bibles and other resources available for free in the mobile and/or web version, but the agreements will require that people pay for those resources on the desktop (bibles will usually go for less than 10$).
FYI - Logos does have periodic sales on their Bibles.

I was dismayed to find only "Wikipedia" as a source in place of the Tufts University site that hosted Perseus. I realize online resources are time limited, but is there any alternate resources in Logos that can function…
