Last night, I was reading "Baptism: A Biblical Study" by Cottrell and he references a couple of sources: "Arndt and Gingrich Lexicon" and the "Journal of Biblical Literature." I was unfamiliar with the Lexicon, but a quick Google search revealed it to be the BAGD, one of the elusive resources that Logos is no longer allowed to sell (NIV 1984 is the other). I don't have it in Logos, but I did purchase the hardcopy. Next reference. I was confident that I would have the Journal of Biblical Literature resource in my library, since I stay up to date with the journal collections. I do have the JBL, but the issue referenced was volume 70 and Logos doesn't offer the earlier volumes. I was able to find the article on the JBL website and read it at no cost, but it is somewhat discouraging to keep going outside Logos to do my research.
I know that Logos is not allowed to sell the BAGD, but does anyone know why they don't have the earlier issues of the Journal of Biblical Literature?
