MP Seminars has recently posted two training videos on using ratings to create Collections especially for use with the soon-to-be-released upgraded Search Assistant. Have you designed a methology for assigning ratings, beyond just "how much do I like this resource?" If so, please share.
Over the years I've developed a tagging vocabulary that helps me parse out things like: Does this resource contain original scholarship? Or does is it simply report existing scholarship? I have a Favorite tag that I apply to resources I always want to look at when they are relevant. And so on.
It's likely my tagging system is overkill in some ways. I'm always looking for ways to simplify my processes, especially the review of new resources to get them incorporated into my system as easily as possible. Ratings might be a good tool for this. Thoughts, anyone?
