Is there a way to properly title a note? I don't want Book/Chapter/Verse(s) - because my notes don't cover just that one part. My notes will cover a myriad of things in one note. I cannot stand not being able to give my note a good, proper title.

I have tried the "workaround" of using Compact View in the notes list and then using the first line as my title. That doesn't work. I can put my actual notes 20 lines down from the first line and it will still show up to the character limit for Compact View of what I typed.

I really, really can't use this if the notes aren't going to let me title them. I am very, very picky about this. I need to be able to give notes the titles I want. And if I'm going to pay for this software, then I should be able to do it. Hands down, no exceptions.

Charity, Notes is not an app like it seems that you imagine it should be (no matter how nice the concept might be). Notes are specifically tied to resources and are meant to allow you to add comments, etc. to a specific location in a specific resource. You can tie notes together using additional anchor points, but they are not a free form note app. This explains the heading on each note, i.e. the specific reference to which the note applies.

The best I can recommend is to create notebooks with whatever name you want and add notes to those notebooks. (You can even move a note from one notebook to another.) That consolidates your notes but those individual note headers will still refer back to the location you specified for the note in the first place. You can also tag your notes, then use the Notes search feature to find them.
