A while back I asked a question about an way to find a word syllabus break down because I was learning to say a word properly….Great suggestions were given and tried.. still a bit awkward. Along comes "Study Assistant"!!!!! easy peasy. It even gives the accent. Is this pulling from Strongs alone or what is commonly known from all greek lexicons??
"give me the greek syllabus for agape"
Here’s a syllable-by-syllable breakdown of ἀγάπη:
ἀ-γά-πη
- ἀ (a) — The first syllable, a short alpha vowel
- γά (gá) — The second syllable, containing gamma (γ) and a long alpha vowel with acute accent
- πη (pē) — The third syllable, containing pi (π) and eta (η), a long vowel
The accent mark (acute accent) falls on the second syllable, making it the stressed syllable when pronounced: a-GÁ-pē.
