4.0b Beta 3, version 4.10.4.6980 High CPU utilization, non - responsive.

Just upgraded, but I am not convinced that the problem is with the newest build as the program was acting real pokey during the upgrade. L4 is grabbing between 90 - 100% cpu. Yes, it is indexing, but even pausing/killing the indexer does not cure the problem.

I concur. Takes almost 2 minutes at 100% CPU (all 4 cores) from launch until CPU calms down and Logos is usable.

I left mine open last night and let all of the indexing finish and I am were you are now. initial start up grabs most of the CPU and after a couple of minutes it calms down and acts closer to normal, although it still seems a bit sluggish and the CPU spikes are quite high.

Logs are useful, which you've given.

In addition to logs, especially for things like this, the other thing that you can do that could be helpful:

1) Close all running apps except for the Finder

2) Launch Activity Monitor

3) Launch Logos 4

4) Switch to Activity Monitor

5) Find "Logos Bible Software" in the list of processes and click "Sample Process" in the toolbar

6) When the sample is finished, click "Save…" in the sample taking window.

7) Upload the saved sample to the forums

A couple of notes:

a) steps 3-6 need to happen in fairly rapid succession

b) step 5 & 6 can be repeated for particularly long-duration situations, just remember to use new filenames for each sample.

Ok, it is down to about 90+ seconds before I can open one of the menu options, so I don't know if this is within the normal parameters or not. I don't have my previous numbers as a benchmark.
