Can someone at Logos tell me if the essays included in The World of the Aramaeans (3 vols.) http://www.logos.com/product/6231/the-world-of-the-aramaeans are being reproduced in a variety of european languages (including french and german) as presumably originally written by their authors, or if these are to be english translations of same. The page promoting these volumes does not say much about this but the tables of contents of the various volumes seem to suggest they essays are in the original language of composition.
None of us on these forums will know the answer to that question. I checked on Amazon.com, but there's no preview of the book there either. You'll be more likely to get an answer from Logos if you email them, as they don't always keep up with all the posts on the forums which are mainly a place for users to help each other. Try sales@logos.com -- they should have access to that info for you.
Thanks Rosie: will try an email to sales.
If the book wasn't a facsimilie of the original paper-based version I would expect Logos to say so. So I think we can be 98% certain that the essays are in a variety of European languages.
I just found the tables of contents of the second and third volumes, and indeed this series contains essays in their original languages.
