Uh-Oh. Every Note and the Notebook Have Disappeared. What Do I Do Now!?

Disaster has struck. I have collected notes in a large notebook entitled "Bible" for years. Today I wanted to add a note that made a comment relating to the entire life of Joseph.

I highlighted Gen 37 - 50 [BTW, that took a lo-o-o-n-n-g time and really began to bog down as the highlighting approached chapter 50 - surely there MUST be an easier way to reference an extended portion of Scripture! If there is, I sure couldn't find it].

Then, I added my comment.

Then, I added an Anchor Point for Acts 7:9-15 and pressed "Done".

Zip-zap. Years of Notes disappeared instantly. In fact, I can't even find my Bible Notebook any more.

I am hesitant to close/restart the program or shut down my computer - just in case some server in the land of "Cloud" is grinding away on my Note with the extended reference and will want to restore my Notebook and all of my Notes.

Any idea where they went or how to retrieve them?

p.s. I checked the "Documents" website but can find no trace of the lost Notebook or the Notes.

Have you opened the documents menu and looked under Trash at the lower left?

No you have your note back, going back to this question.

Have you tried simply specifying that extended portion as an anchor?

In your note (in the Notes Tools), click Add Anchor, then type in Gen 37-50 as the Reference. (Then click the top entry, then Done.) This should be much easier than clicking and dragging to highlight text.

Thank you, Mark. I had looked at that page but forgot that one needs to filter down to DELETED items. Everything restored just fine. BTW and FWIW, filtering down to DELETED items-only, is accomplished via a drop down menu in the upper right portion of the screen - I vaguely remember a button at the bottom of the page from a long time ago.

Logos NOTES definitely does not handle extended passage references well - if at all. I remember having problems a while back when I tried to reference the entire book of Hebrews.
