Does the 2026 Ultimate contains Verbum packages? Is that why it's more expensive?
According to their product pages, the 2026 Ultimate Library contains 19,200+ resources while the 2026 Collector's Edition Library contains 8,380+ resources. I believe most (if not all) of the additional resources come from content in denominational libraries (including Verbum) that is not available in standard libraries.
Would you say that IF the Ultimate 2026 package doesn't have Verbum packages, it would just be a Collector? Meaning, basically Ultimate 2026 is a combination of Collector + Verbum packages?
Usually the Ultimate library contains all resources from all other libraries of the same release, including the Verbum libraries.
But, in addition to that, it simply includes a lot more additional resources which are not present in the other libraries of the same release.
For example, comparing 2026 Collectors Edition with the 2026 Ultimate library, you would find that the Collectors contains about 8,400 resources, and Ultimate contains 19,200 resources (i.e. about 10,800 more resources): 5020+ extra monographs, 1640+ extra commentaries, 1260+ extra magazines and journals, 320+ extra sermons, about 250 extra Bibles, etc.

I kinda understand the numbers of resources. Counting the resources is easy. But differentiating the resources is kinda difficult for me.
I guess what I'm trying to do is … If 2026 Collector's Edition has everything EXCEPT the Verbum, then this is what I need. Because I don't want to pay extra by having Verbum in 2026 Ultimate Library because I don't need them. No offense.
No, the difference between Collectors and Ultimate is not Verbum resources. It's a large numer of resources (how large of course is depending on what you own before) from all over the place, I don't see anything specifically Catholic there.
Ok. I just did a lil digging.
Ultimate 2026 does contain 2025 Verbum Portfolio, in which I don't own 455 resources. I try adding Verbum Portfolio to my cart that has Ultimate 2026, and it adds $0
So here's my math on resources being added to my library…
Collector adds 462 new
Verbum adds 455 new
Ultimate add 1331 new
so..
Since I don't need Verbum, in reality Ultimate only adds 876 (from 1331 - 455) new resources.
So in Ultimate, there are 414 (from 876 - 462) new resources that are not in Collector & non Verbum.
I wish Logos would offer Ultimate without Verbum resources so that the price would be more affordable.
