I ran into this little anomally while browsing and noted that the MacArthur commentaries need to be tagged as such.
note the pic:
Alternately annoying is that if you select "Commentaries" first, then MacArthur doesn't even show up in the Author selection.
I guess this is because they are truncating the Authors list for display (even after I select More), and since MacArthur only appears to have 3 commentaries, he's not high enough in the list to show up.
Seems like there should be some way to select from all the authors. I guess you have to use search if one doesn't show up.
I seriously can't imagine going through 12,000 + resources and tagging every single one of them with all the various fields.
It's a monumental task.

I'm surprised they didn't preload it with the internal types from the metadata. Or if they did, how did they miss things like the MacArthur commentaries?
That sounds like a nightmare for a poor scripter like me.
It gives me a headache just thinking of the things that could go wrong.
It sounds easier than manually keying 12000 resource updates. Besides if things go wrong, you modify the script and reload.
The guy who's doing the job has been writing in other threads. It has to be done manually; no computer can figure out whether a resource is Catholic or Puritan. He's been at it a month, and expects to be done in one or two more.
I understand the additional tagging needed. Mostly I was referring to resource type: the basic resource type is already a part of the resource metadata, including "commentary" and "bible commentary". Using that as the first cut is what I meant by "preload", then they could go back and manually add additional typing for the web site (that isn't supported by the Logos4 app: like biography, systematic theology, introductions). But I'm sure they've thought of it...I was just wondering why it turned out the way it did.
