I need help with a functional iPad setup

Question

The hyper activity grab function (which I would argue is a bug) is causing me to stop work and do something else, it is that bad. I have the ESV in one column, and the OL in another column and linked. I am trying to highlight specific words in the OL which will cause the highlight to also appear in the ESV, even though the highlight is from the OL.

That said, 90% of the time I am trying to select the word to highlight it, it opens a duplicate column and messes up my workflow. So then I close the column and try to select it again, and then it opens another column. I have tried even using my opposite hand with my mouse and that still doesn't fix it and this is not usable.

I recently learned how to highlight on my iPad, which was a huge quality of life issue, but my understanding is that what I am trying to do is not possible on the iPad, since the only way to see the ESV and OL together is if they are linked as a parallel text as opposed to a column (the reason I care is because I need to search both the ESV and OL, and unlike Accordance, with Logos I can only do inline searches of the text in lead).

Any ideas would be appreciated as I am very frustrated. If there is a specific layout on the iPad which people have found helpful for this type of thing, I would appreciate learning about it.

Hi @Graham Criddle, thank you for the screenshot. Actually, after I posted this I started messing with the iPad and I realized that when I tried to add another text that it sort of naturally added a new column, as opposed to adding it as a parallel. I think the moral is that it was so long ago that I had tried Logos on the iPad, it was before I understood the program enough to use it and blamed it on the iPad layout, but this is actually super functional. After fighting with the desktop Logos for 30 minutes to add 4 highlights, I was able to add 55 highlights in 2 minutes on the iPad. So the iPad is 100% where I need to do highlights. That said, I have a few specific questions:

1) Cross highlighting doesn't seem to work, which doesn't make sense since using the same texts on the desktop do work. This seems to be a setting but I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?

2) While I love the iPad for highlights, doing any type of research on it seems close to impossible. I clicked the Word Study of a Hebrew word, and I found something I wanted to copy to paste somewhere, but there was NO WAY to do it. The only option was to open the resource (I guess beyond the preview in Word Study), so I opened it and tried to select the word there, but I likewise couldn't copy it. Then something else said open, so I opened it, but then I couldn't select there either and it just kept wanting me to open things like a matryoshka doll. Surely there is a way to copy text from dictionaries or the Word Study on the iPad, but I am not sure how. Could you clarify this?

3) Before I moved to the iPad I made a point to close the layout on the desktop of the inline search. Was that necessary?
