Showing 4.0b Beta 3 (4.10.4.6980) as the version that is running on my computer. Is this the most current update? Why is it still showing beta.

Yes - most current Beta. Wiki page has beta information => http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program
If wish to switch to stable release, can use command set update channel to default - continue receiving beta updates until Logos 4.0b stable release ships.
