I should have known better: to show-off my new Logos Bible Study software to my brother (who uses E-Sword).

He typed in Aleph Taph into the search window, and............nothing, nada, zilch.

My brother left with his faith in his trusty E-Sword intact.

Even after he left, and I typed Aleph Tav instead - I still didn't get a result.

What am I doing wrong.

My Mac can go all the way to OS XI

What were you expecting to find?  Were you doing a Bible search or a Library search?

Were you looking for Bible hits in Ps 119 (where those letters are named)?

You need this syntax for a morph search

    hebrew:את‍

Or you can type h:at and select Aleph Tav ect. from the dropdown.

EDIT: Although, I get plenty of results when I search את‍ in a Morph search limited to the BHS or an entire library search. Could the Mac version have a bug with Hebrew search? You might want to ask the question in the L4 Mac forum.

Hold that thought!  Get accustomed to the software, give yourself some time and then challenge him to a rematch.  He would have to be blind not to see the light. image
