Download Mac?

I am purchasing Logos Scholar with a 50% student discount through my university website which directed me to Logos. I run a Mac and so want to download the Mac version. At no point through the purchasing process does it indicate whether I'm purchasing the PC or Mac version. Even when I'm about to confirm the transaction, it doesn't give any details. Since I don't want to accidentally spend hundreds of dollars, can anyone else confirm that I will be able to choose which version to download after purchasing?

You are purchasing the books. You can download either Mac or Windows engine or both (many have run the Windows version under parallels or fusion while also running the Mac version). The engine is free and the updates are also. When you purchase Scholars (or any other group) you are simply purchasing the books which will work with either engine and also work with the Logos app for IPhone or biblia site (although not every book yet). Hope this helps.

Yes - you can download either version or both depending on your proclivity.

The requirement says "Logos Bible Software Version 4. This course
requires the Scholar's library collection of the Logos Bible software. Because the software is required for this

Yes. When you purchase L4, you receive a license for both Mac and Windows. The download links will be on the order confirmation page. Very nice discount.

Just to flesh out the information.

It is possible to download the engine for Logos for free. You have to dig through the Logos website for it, they don't make it obvious. Not because they don't want you to have it but because without any books to put in it it is practically useless.

When you buy your Scholar's Library you buy a library of books that the engine reads and interprets for you.

There are engines for both Windows and MacOS and you can choose to read your library on either or both platforms. You can also get access to your library on your iphone or ipad (with some restrictions) or via a Web interface

The analogy with a public library falls down when it comes to lending your books to a friend :-( but that is another subject altogether.

Thanks for the feedback, Marcus. We'll make sure we're more explicit that our products work on both Windows and Mac and that we don't sell a Windows version and a separate Mac version.
