My current layout has 3 panels: A vertical panel on the left, and 2 horizontal panels stacked vertically on the right. I'd like to split the top horizontal panel into 2 panels, for a total of 4 panels. How do I add and position the 4th panel?

    Hi Ron

Please note I am replying from the context of the Windows product - I hope it translates!

From your description I assume you have something like the layout below:

To add another panel into the top horizontal one, you need something to have in it! You can get this in a number of ways - open a new resource, start a search, etc. For purposes of demonstration I will just make a copy of the resource in the panel.

    which results in:

Then to move this new tab so that it creates another panel, I just drag the tab to either the right or bottom of the panel - I will take it to the right.

The highlighted area shows where the new panel will appear - resulting in:

and the complete layout now looking like:

Hope that gives you something to work with.

Open another resource (doesn't matter what panel it opens up in) and then drag its tab until you get a blue box taking up half the space of the top right panel, then drop it.
