I was looking at my collections and realized that NIDNT and NIDOT were "Type:encyclopedia", while other such as Exegetical Dictionary of the NT were "typed:lexicon"- shouldn't NIDNT, etc also be type:lexico as well, or am I missing something here?

I assume we are talking about the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology (NIDNTTE) and it's OT counterpart by Zondervan (NIDOTTE)?
If so, I think there could be legitimate disagreement over this. Both resources are organized by English headwords and in most cases each heading covers more than one Greek or Hebrew word. Kittel on the other hand (a lexicon) is organized by Greek lemmas as are other Greek lexicons. So it could be argued that NIDNTT and NIDOTTE are intended to be dictionaries or encyclopedias for non-Greek or non-Hebrew users.

I use these works as lexicons. They come up as parallel resources with my lexicons. I don't believe having them listed in this current way is a handicap. I'd be fine with them being called lexicons even if in some ways that is not their true nature. As I said, that is how I use them.
