The Life of David

We are about to start a preaching series on the Life of David in my church. I've started reading Arthur Pink's "Life of David" which I already had in my Library but was wondering if there are any other books people recommend? Preferably in Logos format.
I noticed there is a pre publication set on David, but there is no way this will be ready in time for me.
Thanks for your help!

Not in Logos format (yet), but Eugene Peterson's Leap Over a Wall: Earthy Spirituality for Everyday Christians: Reflections on the Life of David is excellent! I took the video course from him that led to publication of that book. He's got such amazing insights into Scripture and he communicates them in an inimitable engaging style.

Thanks Rosie - that looks good with consistently good reviews. I'll definitely get it.

For others who might be reading this, I shared the link to the Kindle edition by mistake. The paperback edition is here, and you can see a preview of the content from that link.

Hasting's The Greater Men and Women of the Bible has about 120 pages on David in vol 3. It can be seen here: http://www.archive.org/details/cu31924092348162
That resource is due in December according to the current reckoning, and if you originally bid on it in community pricing, then you already have ordered it at a great price.

As it's not in Logos and not even in print this may not suit you, but I've found an MP3 series by Tim Keller on The Life of David very helpful. Downloads can be purchased at http://sermons.redeemer.com/store.

I got this in Libronix format through E4 several years ago.

Todd,
That is great news as I did pick that up on community pricing - I'll get it just before we start so that is good timing. It will have paid for itself within a few weeks as it was so cheap on CP.
Bill,
They look good. I don't think I'll invest in them all. Maybe the odd one (I tend to preach every six weeks so if there is one that is particularly apt for the sections I get I may have a little look).
Thanks everyone for your help!
