BUG in Power Lookup?

I put this in the Beta section as I am running the latest beta (4.2 Beta 6)

The pictures below hopefully show my concern. I am studying The Apostolic Fathers: English Translations. I have the Power Lookup window up to show footnotes.

In this first screen grab, you'll see a circled note to a note, "Rom. 5.1". You can also see that refers to this same resource, Letter from Ignatius to the Romans (TOC on the side may help you too). HOWEVER, what shows on the right under the 5.1 reference is NOT Ignatius/Romans, but something else. What is it?

Well, if I highlight over that, as you see in the next screen grab, you'll see it's NOT Ignatius to Romans, the correct reference, it's a Commentary, specifically Hermeneia, taken from my Prioritization:

So I thought to myself, that's not right, so on a whim I put Apostolic Fathers: English Translations at the top of my priority list, closed and reopened Power Lookup, and lo and behold the reference is now properly reported as Ignatius-Romans:

I believe Power Lookup should be explaining the references/footnotes etc. of the active pane, and NOT fooling with Commentaries at all. The original reference should show the text of 5.1 for Ignatius-Romans. Am I correct in my analysis here, is this a bug or something I don't understand correctly?

I can see your point, though I think it's better/easier for everyone to understand if Power lookup just uses your prioritisation list. (After all, there may be some people who'd want that.) I think the problem with making special rules for this scenario is that it then opens a can of worms. Where else should there be special rules? And what about the occasions when the 'rules' we might suggest don't work. What if the only resources available were Coptic and a commentary which included an English translation. What would you want power lookup to display then?

If you prioritise your ancient manuscripts above your commentaries, or does that make matters worse elsewhere? (I have already done this - by chance, not by design - and I've noticed no problems.)

It's to do with data types rather than commentaries. Hermeneia happened to be the #1 for ApostolicFathers until you changed it. By analogy, a Bible is usually #1 for the Bible data type but you could select a Commentary.

I can live with it working this way, it just struck me as odd that the reference was within the same resource yet Power Lookup didn't show it - that just seemed illogical to me so I thought I should report it in case people who know more about "the big picture" were unaware of this behavior. For me, I could see going to the priority list if the reference/footnote was not available, but first choice would always be to display what the source text actually refers to. But like I said, I am ok with it working this way now that I know.

What I did was first, put this resource above my Commentaries as you suggested. But that worried me too, that there may be some repercussions, so I then modified that entry to use the Advanced Prioritization and only have that resource used by itself. That way, I feel pretty confident there will be no unintended side effects, and if I find other resources/issues with Power Lookup I'll deal with them, then.

It works that way in all resources. For example, if I have the NIV up, power lookup will show me the cross references, but display them in the ESV (my preferred version). Illogical perhaps, but at least consistently illogical!

If you right click a reference like IRo 4.2 you should be able to see all the resources for that reference (select Apostolic Fathers on the right) eg. Lightfoot's Apostolic Fathers in English, Apostolic Fathers in Greek and Ante-Nicene Fathers Vol 1.
