Word Study Guide

in a Proctor Training Seminar, Morris taught us to customize how we study best to make it easier to navigate Libronix to get quick results. Now, I have converted to Mac Logos 4. How do I create a shortcut to the "Word Study Guide"? The Word Study Guide allows me to type in a passage of Scripture and it will provide eight to ten resources of definitions from EACH word in that passage whether it be one verse or thirty verses! Please assist.

I think you're getting two tools mixed up. The Bible Word Study gives detailed information about one word. The Exegetical Guide gives overview information about all words in a passage. Both are accessed from the Guides menu.

If you want to create a shortcut, drag the link from the Guides menu onto your shortcuts bar.

Drag and drop the Exegetical Guide onto the Shortcuts bar.

And it's there! Click and it opens and populates.

The language of Libronix and Logos 4 is totally different. I tried both those methods and it does not get the job done. The "Word Study Guide" in Libronix will look up the entire passage word by word from eight to ten resources.

It still sounds like you talking about the exegetical guide.

There's no place to look up an entire passage here--unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean. If that's the case, could you perhaps clarify a bit more. That is to say, if the Word Study Guide in Libronix is what you're looking for, which section are you most interested in:

Translation
Greek New Testament (lists every place in the NT where a work is found)
Greek Septuagint (lists every place in the LXX where a work is found)
Other secondary source (Josephus, Philo, Apostolic Fathers, ect.)

In pre-3.0 versions of Libronix, the tool was called "Word Study Guide," however when the 3.0 version was released, it became "Exegetical Guide." Then to drill deeper to study a specific word, you would click on a word in the Word by Word section of an Exegetical Guide to bring up a Bible Word Study on that word.
