Bug? Library reverts to top

Couldn't find this elsewhere on the forums... While attempting to add tags to my commentaries (219 in the list) the window repeatedly reverts to the topmost resource - i.e., it jumps back to the first resource in the list. This is REALLY annoying and wastes much time requiring me to scroll back down to where I left off tagging. Has this been reported? Is it on the schedule to be fixed?

This is annoying. However, you can select and tag multiple resources by holding down the Cmd or Shift buttons when clicking (Cmd allows you to select multiple non-adjacent resources, SHIFT allows to you select adjacent resources in two clicks).

This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

I've reported this before. It was fixed in one of the updates. But I've noticed it's back too. Very annoying.

Yeah, Mark - I already do this, but still... hope they get this fixed.

    Working on this now.

I've found that this only happens when you have a filter and update the metadata. Which is exactly what you want to do, after you edit the tag, the metadata is updated along with the library index causing a refresh.

As a work around, you can sort by the type column and scroll down to the items you want to edit, it should stay on your selected item(s).

The windows team has fixed this, but this is one of the areas where the code is in their UI code and we don't get that code for free, so I am making a similar change on our Mac code.

Working on this now. . . . As a work around, you can sort by the type column and scroll down to the items you want to edit, it should stay on your selected item(s).

    Thanks for the advice, Glenn.

I stumbled upon the same workaround the next day. After filtering for type:commentary, I clicked on Tags (once or twice). Because I had not added many other tags, this brought all my as-yet-untagged commentaries to the top. After tagging the topmost item or group of items (series) I waited a few seconds for the refresh to occur. After refresh, my next untagged items appeared magically at the top, ready for edit.

But thanks again for working on a fix.
