Lexham Syntax search error

I opened a syntax search, selected Lexham, clicked on word and selected predicative adjective in Titus. I received zero results even though Tit 1.8 is full of them. I tried this on both the L4 Win and L4 Mac. Both programs are fully updated and running the latest betas.

I know there was a recent update fixing some problems with this database, but perhaps there are still more to fix.

Do you get any for Titus or 1 Tim?

I get hits, just none in the Pastoral Epistles for some reason. Try limiting your search to Titus.

There are two different options being confused here: "predicative adjective" under "Adjectives", and "predicate adjective" under "Predicate Particles."

"Predicative adjective" does not return any results in Titus, but "Predicate adjective" does.

Here are their descriptions from the glossary:

predicative adjective: An adjective which clarifies or modifies an attribute of its modifié. This type of adjective is traditionally grouped with the attributive adjective. However, in LSGNT, a distinction is drawn between attributive and predicative adjectives. Unlike the attributive adjective, which directly modifies its modifié, the predicative is usually appended to its modifié in a complementary manner and typically requires an article. In LSGNT, a distinction is drawn between attributive and predicate adjectives based largely on word order and placement of the relative articles, as applicable. One should take care, therefore, to maintain a conceptual distinction between the terms ’predicative adjective’ and ’predicate adjective.’

predicate adjective: An adjective which occurs in the predicate of a clause and which is related to the subject of the same clause in an equalitative sense.
