Another request/nudge for Gordon Clark
Walter Elwell lists a mere 33 theologians of significance in his Handbook of Evangelical Theologians (http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/HBKEVTHL). One of those is Dr. Gordon Haddon Clark. Of Clark, Ronald Nash writes, "Few have defended the cause of biblical Christianity in the twentieth century with as much skill and determination as did Gordon H. Clark. As Carl F. H. Henry has pointed out, "Among articulate Christian philosophers on the American scene, none has addressed the broad sweep of contemporary concerns from an evangelical Protestant view more comprehensively than Gordon H. Clark.""
Strong praise indeed from Elwell, Nash, and Henry! A huge influence in the thinking and lives of many ... and yet, the Logos library still has zero works from Dr. Clark's prolific pen.
Instead of Artificial Intelligence, I prefer to continue to rely on Divine Intelligence instructing my Natural Dullness (Ps 32:8, John 16:13a)

I am surprised to see this post resurrected! But I will again endorse GHC whose keenness of thought could be compared to surgical steel.
A small anecdote about Clark that I wrote down a long time ago (and took me a while to find it this morning!) ...
Gordon Haddon Clark in a lecture on Apologetics (Is Christianity a Religion?, Part 1) is interrupted by a student with a question. After politely listening, his response was simply, "Write down what you just said and think about it tomorrow." He then continued with his lecture without answering the student further.
The story makes me laugh even today [:D] ... until I think about how many times I have asked those types of questions which were sooo erudite and insightful in my head as I formed them, but when spoken out loud, came across as completely non-sensical and ill-informed. [:$]
