This bug as been around since 4.1, but I've only just noticed. In 4.1 various functions were added to copy location. In particular, the offset parameter was added for greater accuracy, and copy location was added to some tools where it previously wasn't allowed. Unfortunately these are not supported by the pop-up in notes and clippings.
To reproduce:
- Copy a location from a dictionary that is mid-way through an article.
- Add it as a hyperlink in notes.
- Hover over the hyperlink. You'll notice that the preview is for the beginning of the article, not the point you actually copied.
Also
- Copy a location that wasn't supported in 4.1 (such as Biblical People)
- Add it as a hyperlink in notes.
- Hover over the hyperlink. Instead of a preview or friendly message, you'll just get the URL displayed in the hover text.
