How come to comment "anonymously," your name and email address are required? I don't have an issue with it per se, I just wanted to save time (actually, I tried to log in, but the blog software rejected my logos login and password that work on all of other logos sites).

    It is a "necessary evil" that has become industry wide practice. It is used by blogs everywhere to keep some measure of accountability for posts. If a person were to post threats, pornography, libelous statements or repeated spam, the host will know who is responsible. (Really, collecting their IP address is a better form of identification.)

    Yes, it does take time to jump through the hoops. Same for locking our doors, reading EULAs and all the other stuff that results from living in a fallen world where we all have a sin-nature. [6]
