CP Bug: Crum's Coptic Dictionary can't be cancelled

Had a bad week financially, and have had to resort to turning off all my CP/PP orders...really bummed, but priorities significantly shifted for many more months.

I tried to cancel my bid for:

Gathering Interest

W.E. Crum's Coptic Dictionary

but the link says that Logos doesn't sell it anymore, and I can't cancel my CP bid.

I don't think you need be concerned about it. I looked for Crum in my orders and found that it had already been deleted -- bummer.

Ward, I made drastic cuts in the next three months pre-pub line up as well. First time I've ever had to do that too. Its good to know I'm in good company (maybe) [:S]

Still have it listed in my CP bids but links just bring up a "no longer sold" statement - have heard nothing from Logos about this being withdrawn from Community Pricing - is this perhaps a web site update casualty or is it really withdrawn ?

I have a feeling it is really withdrawn. A considerable time ago I received an email from Dan Pritchett asking whether they should keep it on prepub since it didn't seem to be moving. That was perhaps 2 yrs ago. I realize that not too many get involved with Coptic, but I should think that a classic work such as this would find continued, even if limited, demand.

I agree that basic materials like this should be retained. They have been adding Coptic resources which increases the demand for it. It make take patience to expand the market but it is happening.

Logos MUST make money. Thus the books they offer must sell. But some books must be published because (as MJ Smith says) they are needed.
