Suggestion: A little change to search would be a big help to me

It would really help if we could sort "By Book" results by the number of hits. Often I'll run a search and there'll be dozens of books with 1 or 2 hits, then a couple hidden away in the middle with several dozen hits. It's clearly those resources I want to be looking at.
They don't always appear in ranked search, because if those hits are spread out over many articles within the resource, the individual articles won't rank highly in a ranked search.

Yes, yes. This would really help in those searches like: "I know that I have a book that speaks a lot about this subject..."

Which leads to the obvious question as to how the search is conducted. Apparently it doesn't do one thing and then move on to another. Is this the result of a threaded operation?

It would be useful to sort ascending as well as descending - I often want the resource with fewer hits! In practice, I can scan the results as they are on a single page. Be aware that a "sort" will initiate another search and thus not be as quick as you think!

"Be aware" depends - if search results cached - could be sorted without doing another search (essentially sorting search results for display).

Yes, there are a few dependencies. My statement would read better if "will" was changed to "may", but experience generating Passage Lists suggests that caching is not good or there are other overheads as when generating Grid view.
