Logos app with IOS 4.2
Hi,
Could someone with the new IOS on the Ipad tell me if the multitasking capability allows you to go between the logos app and evernote to make some notes, without having to close logos?
Or, is it possible to go between pages, or notes or any supplied app and Logos without having to close Logos.
I am seriously considering getting an Ipad to use as a Bible, (I currently use an old ipod touch 1G) with access to some of my Logos library, and just wondered if the new IOS has made it any easier to make notes outside of the Logos app, without closing it first..
Thanks
Duncan

This is certainly the case on the iPhone, and has been since OS 4.0.

I too, have the iPhone 4.0 Mark, but I am not aware of a way to copy from any Logos app and paste into Evernote for printing.

No, you can't copy/paste, but the original poster just asked about making notes, not about pasting into notes. Until OS4.2, the iPad didn't have task-switching, so every time you left Logos and went back into it, you'd have the long wait through the splash screen and then be back at the home page. That's no longer the case, making notes a possibility now (even if you can't paste yet).

the only way would be to capture a screen shot, but I'm sure that's not what you want.

As already stated, yes, you can switch between Logos and Evernote or Pages without shutting them down using the new iPad OS. I just discovered today that we can also swipe up in a Bible, select Text Comparison, copy the Bible text from one or more of the resulting versions shown in the comparison, then paste into Evernote or Pages. Here is an example from 1 Peter 5:1...
NKJV|The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed:
It doesn't include the verse reference but may be helpful anyway. You can expand the range of Bible text to view and copy by clicking the button in Text Comparison that shows the Bible reference. For example, I copied verses 1-8 and it worked well.
FYI - I typed this in Evernote on my iPad and pasted into this forum thread.

Here is an example from 1 Peter 5:1...I tried this and was successful a couple times getting the thing that you drag the corners on to select...the other times I didn't. When I touch the screen, something shows up on the bottom of the screen, could be a menu but it disappears so quickly that I can't see what it was. If I could get it to work consistently, that would be a help. Meanwhile, I just use Olive Tree which lets you copy easily. Hint Hint to Logos developers. Hurry Hurry please, with an upgrade that allows copying.
