Older Logos

I have an older Logos CDROM, (Early Church Fathers Catholic Edition) I think I bought it back in the mid-late 1990's.

I've unlocked various Bibles, cross references and commentaries on it.

It doesn't work on my new Windows 7 machine.

Do I need to buy all new software and if so what happens to the libraries and books I had previously unlocked?

The basic answer is "No" as Logos retains a copy of all your unlocks and will make the various files available to you from their servers - read this post to find out more.

It doesn't work on my new Windows 7 machine.

Probably because it is 16 bit software, which will not run on Win 7. But those CD files are out-of-date because they will have been upgraded to a new format for use in Libronix 3 and Logos 4.

We can help you better if you tell us what software you are running (Libronix 3 or Logos 4) and if you have those files loaded/updated on another computer.

You don't need to. You could download for free Logos 3 or Logos 4 (for free), and these files from your CD would download into it. You'll find Logos 4 easier (the download is automatic), but if you have an older computer you might be better off with Logos 3.

Having said that, if you intend to make good use of Logos you would be well-worth upgrading to what's called a Logos 4 base package. You'll get lots of extra resources at tools which you can use in addition to those you already have.
