This would be for pre-pubs mainly, but I wonder if Logos could start including an estimate on how long it will take to develop a given resource once it is first announced.
For example, I'm currently saving up for the Zondervan collection and I'm assumming it will take Logos six months to develop this resource. So $900 divided by 6 months means I have to save $150 a month, or $75 a paycheck, if I want to have the cash on hand when this collection ships. For the N. T. Wright collection, I'm assuming a development of 4 months, so $75 a month for that one.
This is based only on my own estimates, but I bet Logos could come up with a much better estimate on how long it will take a resource to be developed, assuming nothing goes wrong along the way (i.e. like the Yale Anchor Reference Library).
I think this would go a long way in helping people save up money for pre-pubs too, and perhaps lessen the amount who have to cancel if a large number of resources are released all at once. (This is assuming that people will save for their purchases, of course!)
