Black Friday 2010

I wouldn't have said anything here at all, and let Facebook be Facebook and Forums be Forums... but if you read through some of the comments, you'll see that the Facebook fan crowd might be able to benefit from some more seasoned/mature users, like forum members! Smile

We are always interested in feedback, and want to make sure we get as many ideas into the mix before moving ahead. Right now, we are looking for ideas on how to craft a special more than actual product suggestions to specifically discount. Any ideas? Please post them on Facebook here:

Sorry I don't have any really great ideas for you today; but I thought I'd write to express my thanks and amazement at Logos' ability to do so much with so few ... in so many areas!!!

Now that I think of it, the only Black Friday we have in Canada is that Good Friday is sometimes called that by some traditions, and black paraments are used and worn in liturgical services in some traditions

of course I'd love to share in your Thanksgiving Black Friday with a coupon with something off on an item I might choose...

Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! We've had ours already, but with so much on the Media about yours, I am reminded to be Thankful Still, and to Praise our Loving God for His Mercies in our Lord Jesus Christ everyday.

I think the "Library Builder" idea Logos had a few years ago is the perfect idea. I imagine people bought the Logos level they could afford but that they wish there were a few more of commentaries / Christian evidences / etc. The Library Builder gave everyone from people who bought advanced stuff to people who would never use advance commentaries something to like. In fact the Library Builder should be considered an opportunity to broaden people's horizon though material that is good but that they personally would never buy. That has been the case with me. There are any number of resources that I have grown to respect and now check that came from the Library Builder series but I never would have spent money on them because there were (and still are) always other items I wanted more.

As I remember the Library builder was large and cost around $400 so perhaps you could craft a specific genre library builder, sort of like the product bundles you have but perhaps smaller and less costly - for instances around $100.

I'm doing my best to resist Facebook, though my college-age children have Facebook accounts. I don't know if these suggestions will be seen or not, but here goes:

First, I have about $1,500 worth of resources in my Logos wish list (maintained on Amazon). If there were a 50% off special (as I see some have suggested), I'd be hard pressed not to buy everything.

Second, in terms of some specific resources:

- Liddell & Scott Full Lexicon
- Expositor's Bible Commentary (12 volumes)
- Reformed Dogmatics (4 volumes)
- Louis Berkhof Collection (15 volumes)
- Exegetical Summaries Series (24 volumes)

That's a pretty good list.
